1. What service is VisonData offering?
We rent you Mifi device before you travel overseas. This saves you time and provides you convenience. Our device allows you to connect up to 5 devices simultaneously. Rental starts from SGD 9 per day.

2. Can I use hotspots instead while I’m overseas? It’s free!
Yes, of course you may use free hotspots while you are overseas. However, you need to locate the hotspots near you and you probably need to “camp” there for hours just to use the free Wi-Fi. There may also be some countries where Wi-Fi coverage may not be as good.
With our Mifi device, you can access data anytime, anywhere!

3. Can I buy prepaid data SIM while I’m overseas?
Yes, you can. Bear in mind that your friends or relatives will not be able to reach you at your Singapore number if you are using an overseas SIM card. You may also not be able to access your contacts if you change SIM card. There may be language barrier when you perform transactions whether over the counter or through the phone.

4. Does the Pocket Wi-Fi package include a charger?
Yes, A charger is included along with the pocket Wi-Fi.

5. How do I know when my Pocket Wi-Fi is fully charged?
The device is fully charged when the battery indicator is completely filled .

6. When should I stop charging my device?
It is recommended to unplug your device after it is fully charged. This prevents  overcharging and the chance that the battery life is shortened due to overcharging.

7. How long does the Pocket Wi-Fi does lasts?
Most of our pocket Wi-Fi (depending on the model) can last up to 10 hours after 1 full charge. Remember to power the pocket Wi-Fi off when it is not being used.

8. Can I make calls with the pocket Wi-Fi?
The pocket Wi-Fi does not enable regular voice calls via cellular networks, however it does allow VoIP calls such as Skype, Viber, WhatsApp etc. over data networks.

9. Can I send text messages / multi-media messages with the pocket Wi-Fi?
No, the pocket Wi-Fi does not enable regular SMS / MMS via cellular networks, however it does allow messaging via WhatsApp, Skype, Viber etc. over data networks.

10. Can I rent just the SIM card or just the pocket Wi-Fi?
No, we do not rent out just the SIM card nor just the pocket Wi-Fi.

11. Can I use the pocket Wi-Fi when on cruise?
The pocket Wi-Fi cannot be used on cruise or on high seas due to the limited connectivity coverage by Telco.

12. Will I get good connectivity for the whole trip?
Connectivity will vary according to geographical location and might be weaker in more rural parts of the country. However if you are facing any issue, do not hesitate to drop us an email at and we will try to advise / resolve the issue as soon as possible

Pricing and Rental Procedures

1. What are your charges?
You may rent our device from as low as SGD 9 per day. The price varies for different countries. A minimum rental of 4 days is required. Please refer to here for our pricing table.

2. How do you charge?
We charge you by the number of days that you travel. This gives you more time to plan for your trip.
E.g. If your travel dates are from 8th Dec to 15th Dec, we charge you for 8 days of rental. You may collect the device on the 6th and return on the 16th.

3. Any other additional charge?
Optional courier service at $7 per trip.
Excess data charge. This happens when you exceed the data limit set by the overseas Telco.
Late return, loss or damage of equipment. Please refer to here for the charge.

4. If I intend to travel to 2 countries, can I use the same device?
Every country uses a different device. If you are travelling to 2 countries, you need to rent a Worldwide Plan devices from us.

5. How do I extend my rental period?
Please inform us at least 3 days in advance so that we can make the arrangements for you. You may call us at +65 6569 7741 during our working hours or email us at

6. When should I make the booking?
It is advisable to make the booking as soon as you have decided to rent the pocket device with us, so that we can reserve the device for you.

7. How do I return the device?
The mode of return will be the same as the mode of collection.

Commonly Asked Questions

1. How do I know if my order has been confirmed?
Once you have made the booking and payment, we will confirm if there is stock available.
An order confirmation will be sent to your email the next working day. If you have made payment and there is no stock available, we will refund the full amount back to you.

2.What happen if I face connectivity issue overseas?
If possible, use free public Wi-Fi and drop us an email at Refer to the trouble shooting guide in the pocket Wi-Fi pouch. We will provide refund for days that you experience no connectivity.

3.If I opt for courier, when will it be delivered to me?
Once order is confirmed, we will call you to confirm on the delivery day and time. Earliest you will receive the device is 2 working days before your travel date.

4.Do I need a paypal account to make payment?
No, you do not need a PayPal account to make payment, credit/debit card details are required.
